Mental Resilience Workshop and Counselling

You Matter: Exploring Mental Resilience, Stress Management and Self-Care

You are a person, and your needs matter. We all face stressful and difficult situations in our life that add up and affect our overall health. This livestream workshop is in partnership with Wellness North Counselling and is available to individuals across Canada to provide tools that will help in build resilience and coping skills to reduce the risk of burnout and the impact of stress. We will help you learn tools to manage and improve overall wellbeing and start making small changes to focus on YOU.

Email below to register for our workshop that takes place on May 15 and 22, 2024 6:00pm-8:00pm Pacific Time at a cost of $200 for the total 4 hour workshop. A receipt will be provided from a Registered Clinical Counsellor/Canadian Certified Counsellor (RCC/CCC), which is covered under many extended health policies, including Pacific Blue Cross.

  • Introduction to Mental Resilience

    Definition of mental resilience and its importance in daily life.

  • Stress and Stress Tolerance

    Examination of the true meaning of stress beyond common perceptions.

  • Managing Stress and Building Resilience

    Discussion on coping with change and highlighting the role of reducing physical reactions and building tolerance to stress.

  • Distress Tolerance and Tools

    Tools for improving responses to stress, finding balance, and practicing self-care.

  • Emotional Regulation and Negative Thought Patterns

    Identifying and addressing negative thought patterns that compound reactions, then reviewing reactions and turning negative reactions into positive ones.

  • Incorporating Self-Care

    Looking at it from many angles, including physical health, hygiene, leisure activities, socialization, and following treatment plans.
